What is dragon boat?

A 41 foot long, 45 inch large boat that can fit 22 people.

Is the sport easy to learn?

t is fairly easy to learn how to dragon boat and accessible to all ages and fitness levels. The boats are very stable and safe.


How should I dress?

Ideally, lycra or nylon shorts and t-shirts are recommended for summer activities. Longer “base layers” are suggested for cooler days. We suggest you wear old running shoes or sandals for the activity.

We have showers, toilets and lockers for your convenience.

Warm weather: 

  • wear a hat to cover your head
  • Sport wear  (avoid coton)
  • Sun scream
  • Sandals or sport shoes
  • Reusable water bottle

Cold weather:

Will I be wet by the end of the activity?

No, you should not be wet by the end of the activity, unless a teammate decides to spray you…


Will the activity take place even if it rains?

Yes, the activity will take place. If there is thunder and lightening, we will wait up to 45 minutes for the storm to pass.


Is equipment included?

We provide paddles and flotation devices for all paddlers.


Activity schedule:

  • Crash course introduction: Overview of the practice of dragon boat on the dock (15 minutes)
  • Practical lesson on the water: With games aimed to synchronize the team members and get them acquainted with the basic movement (45 minutes)
  • Break: Out of the boats (15 minutes)
  • Tournament between the boats on the water: 4 to 5 short races (45 minutes)
