What you should know
For several years, H2O has been participating in national and international dragon boat competitions, with some of its athletes also being part of the Canadian National Team. The Sports program focuses on performance and requires experienced paddlers to be in good physical shape and ready to commit 100% to their teams. Athletes train almost all year long, both indoors and outdoors.
The Club Crew World Championships take place every two years, alternating with the Nations World Championships. Only the top 5 standard boats (crew of 22) in Canada and the top 2 small boats (crew of 12) qualify for the World Championships.
